Being a cop is no easy task, especially with today’s issues revolving around police brutality, and being a female cop also adds on to the difficulties of the job. Many police officers have two jobs in order to stay afloat the financial crisis the U.S. seems to be in. Some of the men on the force double as plumbers or electricians. One certain woman, Samantha Sepulveda, is changing all of that for the better. Samatha Sepulveda was born outside of the U.S., Dominican Republic to be exact. At the age of 5, Samantha’s mom and her sister moved to the U.S. to begin a new life. Samantha’s mom worked late hours at a factory, leaving Samantha and her sister to care for themselves. It must have been there that Samantha acquired a great deal of courage and the compassion for helping others.
