African American Model Recreates Major Fashion Campaigns To Point Out The Lack Of Diversity In Fashion

Deddeh Howard was tired of being denied at castings not because of her modeling talent but because of her skin color. Unfortunately, in the world of modeling one or two black skin models are “enough” for a modeling agency. Deddeh was born in Liberia and she came to the U.S. with dreams of being a model. She certainly has the look and physique for it, she is absolutely gorgeous.

She did a lot of traveling with her family at a young age before finally settling in Los Angeles, CA. Deddeh struggled to find a way to be proactive and live a healthy, happy lifestyle, while still having time to sleep. But once she did some extensive research and through her own experience she figured it out and started her blog: Secret of DD. Deddeh isn’t just a blogger though, she is a fashionista, she is a med student, she is a model, and she is a yogateacher. So maybe she is a superhero?
