Many people have false views of rescue animals. For example, many believe that because they are rescues, they are not as safe to adopt because they may have suffered a traumatic or abusive past. While it may be true that they haven't had the greatest past, the rest of that claim could not be further from the truth. The majority of rescue dogs actually adapt quickly and become loyal and loving members in your family. A woman named Elizabeth Spence found this to be 100 percent true when she decided to open her home to six rescue pets, three dogs and three cats. One of their rescues is named Nora. She is an 8-year-old English pointer and when they got her, she was afraid of all humans.
